Hi, my name is Mio!

I'm a Product Designer committed to bringing positive change through design. My goal is to create meaningful connections between people and technology through purposeful design.

My journey in this field has been enriched by a variety of projects, each offering unique challenges and invaluable learning experiences. From working with diverse user demographics and industry experts to collaborating with international teams, these experiences have sharpened my ability to translate complex requirements into seamless, intuitive user interfaces.

I thrive in collaborative environments, where exchanging ideas with fellow designers fuels my creativity and pushes the boundaries of what's possible in UI/UX design. My pursuit of new challenges and continual learning keeps me at the cutting edge of the industry.

Additionally, being bilingual and bicultural in Japanese and English has significantly shaped both my personal life and professional approach, bringing a unique blend of creativity and broad perspective to my work.

My academic journey at Tufts University, where I earned an M.S. in Human Factors Engineering and a B.S. in Engineering Psychology / Human Factors (magna cum laude), forms the backbone of my approach in research and commitment to human-centered design principles.
