ZOOX | Mio Shimizu

CONTEXT

As a fully autonomous vehicle, ZOOX is an alternative option to rideshare and a first of its kind. As a mock UI consulting project, I designed a user interface for passengers to interact with during their ride on ZOOX. This interface would be a separate interface from the booking app.

FEATURES & PRODUCT FLOW

Below are the 10 features that would be included as well as the product flow. The features in the product have similar functionality to controls in a personal car, such as GPS, music, and climate control. While the users are not driving the vehicle, users can have access to familiar features. This enhances the overall experience, and provides users with a sense of familiarity and ease.

Description
The color scheme of green, blue, and purple colors which is associated with futuristic aesthetic gives the moodboard a techy aesethetic. However with lots of white space, this moodboard still maintains a minimal aesthetic.

The fonts both are san sarif which still follows the simple minimal theme of this moodboard.‍

Description
Inspired from futuristic theme of blue and purple neon lights, dark black and dark blue backgrounds, this moodboard has a dark yet vibrant aesthetic. With the dark background, it emphasizes the vibrant colors and highlight the important asepcts. The fonts are Rajdhani for titles and Montserrat for body writing. Montserrat emulates a modern look with thin and spaced out letters. Rajdhani has thicker lines and sharper edges which contrasts with the body font.

Before beginning the trip, users must confirm their name and address of their destination. If the address is incorrect, users can edit it before beginning their ride or edit it on the booking app on their phone.

Map

Users can switch from viewing an overview of the route to the current location by pressing the pointer icon on the upper left corner. Users can also edit their ride (add a stop or change drop-off location) anytime during their trip.

Settings

Users can adjust the temperature, AC, and light in the car through this page.

Music

Users can connect to Bluetooth to play music through their phones.

Entertainment
‍
Users have the option of watching TV shows or learning more about how ZOOX technology works. Users can also go into tour mode where the car will highlight landmarks and the history of the area for the duration of their ride, similar to a tour bus.

Safety

Users have access to information about what to do during an emergency.
